St. Stephen is present on the icon as a whole figure. He is dressed in a beautiful red dalmatica with gold edging richly decorated with pearls. The red color symbolizes martyr's death and pearls spiritual beauty, purity and perfection. His face in a gold nimbus, fringed with semi-long brown hair, resembles the faces of the Lord's angels. He holds a box of holy gifts in his left hand and incense in his right hand. He has a white deacon adit with red crosses across his left shoulder. The green under-garment is a symbol of the spiritual power that accompanied him.

The Prophet Moses is depicted on his knees and holds in his hands a scroll with the inscription "Whom you seek" (cf. John 1:38,45). Undergarment is brown symbolizing the earth, desert, poverty, and humility. He wears a red outer garment over his right shoulder as a sign of royalty, leadership, and mystical zeal. He has a golden nimbus around his head and a sign with his name above his left shoulder.
